Usually I farm the event to very last day, but Im gonna stop and grind for Gold Tin Cans. Need lots of $ since I realize awakening a unit ain't cheap LOL

13 Odettes ain't bad

Will mincost her. For skill reduction, I won't try it

She is my 2nd Plat Mage and my first event mage, I think

Nice job on the farming, I am still short by three points unfortunately. I highly recommend using Sasha. Barbastroff is good and is basically a stronger Valerie, but Sasha is great especially with her skill being able to negate enemy damage on surrounding allies. Has saved me a fair bit.

Think it was discussed either earlier or in another thread but...
Plat mages:
Sasha: Highest damage output, skill allows for dodging of physical attacks for nearby enemies (which considering you're usually having mages support a chokepoint, she's likely covering 1-2 blockers and maybe a healer with this)
Garania: Our signature weapon of MASS destruction, capable of hitting half the map with skill, her damage falls behind a bit but she's a mob-clearer, not a priority-target killer (then, what Plat- mage is?). Also buffs Mage attack and therefore stays competitive to a Sasha or Odette without Garania buff
Odette: Lower damage output than Sasha but her anti-mage protection covers whole team. Does have +2 cost compared to the others.

Thus, each Plat mage has their own niche. Anti-Physical Protection, AOE++ and Anti-Mage Protection

Barbie loses out to Mehlis in damage unless his skill lets him hit more enemies than her skill does (extended range for Mehlis lets her reach more, expanded AOE for Barbie lets him potentially hit more per shot). Assuming equal enemies hit, Mehlis wins and he loses to all the plat mages outside of UP cost.

After my initial run of awful luck it nearly evened out by the end. 25 runs on the last map for 11 Odettes and 3 Witches.

Got Odette to -2/+5. A far cry from -5/+16 but +16 is nigh unattainable anyway.

Seems like no one mention Cyrus, so Im guessing he ain't special then

I lvl and Cc Cyrus for male units only maps + I could CR him if I had leftover DC (dat was before I thought of buying Spica LOL)

I never got Cyrus so I can't speak for him but like IvanLedah21 said for the platinums, every unit has their niche. In pure stats Cyrus is a little weaker but with awakening he basically gains rapid fire at the expense of range where as Barbastroff is the exact opposite. In the end it's a matter of preference and practicality.

And invest in Sasha as much as you can. I may be biased, but she is very good.

I was off to the good start with this event, but then RNJesus decided I needed humbling for some unknown reason. Suffice to say, I'm nowhere near getting even a half perfect Odette.

I still managed to get a few witches that I'll defiantly need later.

I know the feeling, at the start was getting good CR and Skill Up, I saved up 10 Odettes over a few days and didn't get one CR from them at Cost 33 which still have 3 more before full CR.

Currently sitting at Cost 31, with 2 more put into my main, I don't believe they will min cost her. As for Skill I got to 8/16.

As JSmith said, Barbie and Cyrus are more or less the same, but with different AW buffs. Mehlis still beats them both, and all of them lose to the plats (other than UP cost and odds of drawing, obviously).

Sasha is very good for murdering chokepoints. Extra AS on AW + highest raw damage, with a dodge skill for insurance is good stuff for keeping your heavy from being overrun
