Sorry for the newb question but, what's a star event? The guides I've read didn't mention them probably because their so much easier than farm/collect.

T_T I wish I had a Saki. I can 3* map 5 with ease but map 4 kicks my ass right now. Just 330 more DC to go(Spica comes first).

Star events aka (star trial events) give you the event unit based on how many stars you got in the event's maps.
So I you could only 3* 4 levels and 2* 2 levels, then your total is 16 stars, if you reach cap (18 in this example) you get the best prize (which is usually min cost unit)
The worse you do, the worse the prize unit will be

Typically star events (also known as star rush if I'm not wrong) have 8 maps, for a total of 24 stars. and of course, 8 SCs if you can get those 24 stars *o* and you dont even have to use any SCs!
