actually, it does. higher def = chance of deflecting paralysis ninja atk = take longer to get paralyzed. (also receiving less dmg from samurai so healer focus on healing them less)
place unit earlier so they can activate skill earlier.
activate skills for more dmg = kill faster = less dmg taken = unit not dying. same goes for cleric heals and stuff.
