gratz. the first 4 maps are prettty easy. Even the 5th one is doable with some leveling up , but i think you're going to need at least another cc-ed healer , AT LEAST. As i said , you will need to level up a bit for that 1 , but it's doable
Woohoo! Got that 15th star!
1 star on Another Encounter and I did it the hard way. 1 lone Healer standing at the end with 1 life left. No way I'll do better with what I have so I'm happy with that for this event. Better to grind more XP into my units for the next one.
So I replied here about 3 pages ago over whether or not I could get 15 stars at the end of this and showed my units for an idea of what I needed to do. I then got told that I am doing this completely wrong, should never level up iron units, get my units CCed as soon as possible, and it was a miracle for me to get 10 stars at all.
Taking that advice to heart, I started leveling everyone like crazy (probably inefficiently as well). While I was doing that, I continued to lurk around here for a bit and have noticed a lot of people putting importance on CC units. At first, I thought the importance to CC units was just exaggerated on account of me having none in stock, but apparently everyone and their grandmas go for CCing as soon as possible.
Anyways, I was just curious if CCing units was really that important. I thought I was getting by just fine in the story missions (barring some select maps) but I'm starting to feel as though I somehow lucked out so far.
you need cc'd units mainly because they increase range, and unlocks 100% affection. 100% affection boosts stats by a fair bit, especially for those that add attack. healers can go from 200+ atk to 300+ easily thanks to it.
edit: iron units are also useless, because you can pretty much get a better unit by using bronze (which can be just as easily CR'd to cost the same as iron)

you are STILL questioning the reason for CCing? After all that explanation from various people too?
Ignoring the approx 60% stat gain, there is the other important reason - UNLOCKING THE CG.
Btw you have a pretty good mage. She gets hotters after AW.

let's assume you have a basic silver unit. u have it maxed at lvl 50. CC-ing gives her another 50 levels (so now she would be about level 100 compared to your basic lvl 50) , so extra 50 levels of stats. Besides that , almost all ranged units get range increase. As you can imagine , that boosts the efficiency of archers by A LOT. And besides that there is the 100% affection. At lvl 50 u have only 50% affection stats. At level 100 you gain the rest 50% of affection stats + a complete 100% affection bonus of another 20-30% affection stats.
And that's just for a silver unit. A gold unit can technically level till 110 (50cc60) after cc , while a plat can level to 120 and a black to 130(50cc80). Thats a fuckload of levels mate and stats mate. A basic max lvl unit , is , when un-cc-ed at max around 30-40% of it's power capacity.
And all that is just looking at levels and stats. We don't take into account that certain units gain new abilities that are way more powerfull then he old ones. For example bashira gains a 3 arrows during her skill duration instead of double shot. That is from the start a 50% increase in damage during her skill duration. Imagine her damage now with extra levels. For example , my lvl cc50 bashira , hits (without the prince buff) for 434. DUring her skill duration , she trows 3 arrows. That means 1302 damage in 1 volley. With the prince buff that improves damage by 19% (i'll aproximate at 20% because it's easier) , she hits for 1.3k +260 = 1560 damage per voley. And the only reason my bashira is only lvl 50 instead of 70 is because on this account i already have (besides spica) , a lvl 70 nanaly (which i still have 10 levels left to max) which hits 4 arrows per voley for example , getting very close of doing 2.4-2.5k damage per volley with prince buff. This is why you cc units. How many of you un-cced units can hit over 2000 damage ?

Aigis War is structured as a fairly easy game that features some difficulty spikes on the toughest maps to keep the vets halfway interested. Breezing through story maps with a ragtag team and a clever strategy is certainly possible but there does come a point with X & G tier event maps where the math dictates that your team will get steamrolled if you don't reach certain minimum requirements. For example, I deployed all but one unit in my squad while 3 starring "Pirate Life G". If someone with markedly weaker units pursued the same strategy I did they'd only have a single extra unit swap to work with before losing stars. An unevolved team would frankly fall flat on its face in the same situation--their stats would be too low and the archers and healers wouldn't have the range necessary to use the coverage pattern I used.
... don't want to thread derail but lemme throw in my two cents.
Tony, I am a free player that started in mid-October. By Free Player I mean use no cash to buy Crystals and so far have not Used Premium/Rare/Base SP Summon. In 4 months of grinding, planning, and cursing I finally have assembled a team that 27-starred this Urgent Mission. How? I read these two guides and formed a playstyle behind them.
Millenium War Aigis Wiki's Beginner Guide
IceInHell's Free Player Guide
1) First thing: NEVER Cost Evolve (caCE ) a unit before it hits lvl 50 and Max Affection/Trust (50%)
2) Second, knowledge is power. Realizing as a newer player there are some events you can't do and/or event units not worth the Charisma/Stamina to go after, but there may be a drop worth targeting for your team. Research the wiki/forums to improve your team! Read this for more Event info.
3) Prioritize HAT: Healer, Archer, Tank (Heavy Armor). Your CE focus should always try to be those 3 as they will be your core. Obviously UP Regeneration troops like Katie should be Cost Evolved also, but if you got a Bashira first summon evolve her ASAP too.
Lastly, knowledge and research is paramount to success. By reading info and watching vids to see what I lack and targeting units I was able to make a strong team in under 6 months but it takes patience and alot of sacrifice.
That's halfway true, one can CC at lv30 but ONLY if that unit will be used as awakening fooder, but if it is a unit you know you will use, then you CC until lv50; and you can CC even with 0% aff/trust, that doesn't matter, the only difference is that before CC you can only go to a max of 50% whilst you can go up to 100% after CC
