Yeah. 3 days of clearing five last opponents and I'm below 450 points. Even getting EVO card can be problematic with drops like that.

Showing up every day to do whatever the latest events are makes a much, much bigger difference than paying a ton of money. So yes, you could play the game and eventually be competitive without paying any money. If you buy the monthly pass for $5/month, that helps quite a bit. But pouring hundreds of dollars into the game will help you a whole lot less than you might guess at first.

For what it's worth, I've won daimyo twice (server-wide weekly tournament) while having only paid for the monthly pass and less than $32 in other stuff, nearly all of which came before the monthly pass existed. So you don't need to be a whale to be competitive, though you would need to show up every day, not just now and then.

    Cursed shards

Hey Semaphore, am I just being really unlucky on drops for these, or are they really low drop rates? I only just now got the 30 i need for a blade, and I have been clearing all 6 of the maps every day for 15 days. There were a few days when I literally got 1 out of 300 tries.

I agree that a $5 Koban Monthly is worth it. If only Nutaku has Paypal Support.

    OMG! I beat Rimuru. LOL

EDIT: Got myself a new unit name Yamagata Masakage. Not sure if this one is good or not.

SSR Yamagata Masakage can be used as an inherit feed alternative for Takeda Shingen of Kai if you are into speed buffs, and if you are lacking TSoK generals. Better if the would be inherited general is level 55.

I knew it. TBH, I'm looking for a Offensive General replacement for Takeda Nobushige.

Evo Emblems - What are they?

Hi. This has probably been covered somewhere in the 100 forum pages already but I'm too lazy - I mean busy - to go through and read them.
Is an Evo Emblem any different from an EVO card? Does it just increase a general from 3 stars to 4 and give them +5 skill points?
Also, whats the difference between an Evo Emblem and a General Evo Emblem?
    Many thanks for your answers.

For the opponents in 6-4 that drop both cursed shards and gold tickets, I'd estimate the drop rate at 1-2% for cursed shards and 3% or so for gold tickets. I haven't kept exact statistics, however.
