All of the charge up soul powers seem demonstrably worse than just attacking. Like Feita's which just has her stand around like a glowing blue idiot and then does nothing.

you still have to land hits. with my girls that do that, i notice that there's a magic circle that appears in the spot where the nearest enemy is last located and it grows in size the longer the charge (and does more hits too).
meaning if they move out the way, you'll miss entirely
that happens a lot for me actually, usually when more players are on
and not just with this, but with kamihime project too. seems like a few unstable connections lately
trisha doesn't seem too powerful though... even though you can 7 star her easier than anyone...
i got her scene and dropped her honestly, cause i used a friend one with 100k power and she does less than my now 36k power isabel. mainly cause her attack rate sucks...

I've also found the Soul charge-up attacks to be fairly lackluster. They hit pretty hard IF you can hit with it, but it doesn't feel like it would be more than if your character has just been auto-attacking in that timeframe. I'm having a hard time actually gauging their effectiveness.
Aside from that, what's everyone doing for their equipment? I'm trying to work my way towards the purple gear but it takes a while. Do you save up for those or just max upgrade whatever you have on hand anyway?
Im wondering what's the best purple gear to farm?
Seems each class has 4 different sets of purple gear
Put together a couple sets of blue gear for each of your favored units and keep them upgraded. Junk anything with weak or irrelevant bonus stats. It's going to be a long time before you have a serious kit of purple or red gear, and when you do you'll be able to pass on the blue stuff to other units. If nothing else it's good to have for tower and arena.
Is there any guide to explain what is what?
What / How does upgrading / Forging / Evolving differ.
Also I am stuck in the first chapter. I have done all the stages and there is a note on the bottom "go to next map" but I cannot find it.
Do I have to clear the contamination challenge first?
Forge = enhance to +1, +2, etc
Evolve = increase star level
Both increase the base stats. Random stats are unaffected by either.
Refine = reroll the random stats on treasures. Can lock the current stats so they will not be affected, at an increased cost to reroll.
Click on the "World Map" button at the top of the screen to choose the next area.
Anyone else having trouble logging in?
