Last update: 2019-03-30, but most content is from older versions of HH before 2018-05-23, so Caveat Emptor
Welcome to my second Strategy guide - made for HH2 released 2017-08-24 (see below for link to my first guide).
This FAQ & Users Guides answered a lot of my questions around changes in HH2 - well worth a read, and many of my strategies are based on information in FAQ.
Feel free to comment and suggest tips for guide.
These are the actions I take when I log in to play HH:
Log in and play as often as you can to battle Bosses for girls, buy stuff, advance quests, collect money, and compete in Contests. Note you can estimate how long it takes for your energy and combat power to regenerate and you can efficiently start you next round.

- Market
Always check market first. The 8h reset period does not start until you look at page, and market resets if you level up doing other activities, so you do not want to miss a chance to shop by leveling before checking market. Thanks to Doctorwhoa for this tip
- The items in the Market store items are leveled to your current level.
- 2017-10-02 devs changed the Market cool down to 8h, and improved the items when you have 20 and 40 girls in harem. From devs post (the mail box on main screen):
The number of girls that you own in your Harem will now influence the quality of gifts within the market :
- The Common items won’t be available anymore if you have at least 20 girls.
- The Rare items won’t be available anymore if you have at least 40 girls.
- The Epic items will have a chance to appear when you have at least 8.
- The Legendary items will have a chance to appear when you have at least 20.
- The Common items won’t be available anymore if you have at least 20 girls.
- 2017-10-06 BUT I have 20+ girls and I still get offered common items, so either bug or devs note on market vs girls is wrong.
- If market has legendary item, get it (duh)
- Items in market seems to cost $ or Kobans randomly
- The items in the Market store items are leveled to your current level.
- Activity - Missions
Next start missions. Try to finish all the daily missions to win special price and Kobans. The missions are also an easy source of XP. With cost of advancing girls' affection I focus on missions giving $ or Affection items first. - Harem
Collect $ from harem at start and end of a play session to maximize $.
Awesome Trick: Click on top harem girl above button. Now alternate clicking Tab and Enter. You will jump to next "active" button with money and "click" it. Keep up until all money collected, super fast.
Well, they broke that :-( guess they want you to pay, not play. - Activity - Contests
Checkout the contests, and see if you want to make a run for top 1-4 where you win Kobans and prices.
I like to save up activities like leveling girls* or playing Pachinko (see below) until I can make a winning run for a Contest like "Hard Training" or "Show Off at the Casino". There are two strategies you can use: Hit hard and fast at first and discourage others from trying, OR wait for last minute and IF you have enough resources to win make a run for it, otherwise save your $ or Books for next time.
*I usually do NOT wait to level my battle team girls - Advance Adventure Quest
Play the adventure quest until I'm out of energy. - Fight a Boss
Fight a Boss for $ and chance to have a girl join harem (see below for estimate on Girl drop rate).
I pick my Boss based on the following:
- If there is an Event Girl(s), go for them while you have chance
- Of the available Girls, identify if any of them are one you want on your Battle team (based on your Style of Hardcore, Charm, or Know-How), see Compare All Haremettes Wiki page. You want to get your Battle Team Girls ASAP because the larger your Harem is when you get her the more expensive it will be to raise her Affection to maximize her stats (see below - note this may change if Devs rebalance Affection which seems a bit messed up right now 2017-09-16)
- If no other considerations I go for highest level boss that has girl left and that I can reliably beat, to maximise $.
- If there is an Event Girl(s), go for them while you have chance
- Spending Money
These are my priorities for spending money. I like to keep at least 3 million on hand for opportunities, rather than running my self broke.
- Buy legendary item if any at market
These are leveled and aid all your fighting stats. You want these :-D. They are rare (and since items may cost $ or Kobans may not be available for $). I like to keep all the items I get but I have sold them to raise $ for a legendary item. - Advance Quest
The quests can get quite expensive, this is why I like to keep savings so I do not delay advancing by having spent all my $ - Buy Books
I like to buy low level white books whenever I can and market have them. That way I have enough to level my harem a level or two when there is a Contest. I also buy a 3 or 4 high level books, to max any low level girl that has joined my harem. - Buy Affection Items
Unless I am maxing affection of Battle Team girl, the cost of advancing girls is ridiculously high in affection and $ (see below). Therefore I only buy the Legendary purple items which are best value, and only if I have more than $3M. It is impossible to afford the Affection and plain $ cost (millions) to advance affection of your entire harem. That is why I do not prioritize buying all affection items nor advance all my girls (except battle team), see below. I do buy the legendary purple items, and slowly advance my harem as a treat - after all let's not kid ourselves, I want to collect the girls in all their pretty poses ;-P - Buying Skill
Skill points (bought on Market screen) seems a more cost effective way to boost your fighting stats than higher level affection for your girls on battle team. Until skill points start costing ~$2000 I like to spend extra cash (>3M) here. Note that your style speciality (Hardcore, Charm, or Know-How) also affects your endurance, so when in doubt buy your style. Each time you buy the cost of next point increases by $2 (at least up to 555 it may change at higher levels like it used to in HH1). If I am struggling to win fights, or on earlier quests where $ to advance is less, I might buy skill points until I have ~$1M in bank. - Play Great Pachinko
If there is a Casino contest, and my Skill is ok to win all Boss fights, and I have more than $3M, then I like to play 10 Games Great Pachinko, hoping to win Legendary purple equipment. The 10 games is better value than 1 game. You can sell items you don't want to recoup some $. I like to collect the best I can get for each kind of item even if I am not using it. Note, there seem to be a bug - I have won items NOT shown on the content lists.
Legendary item drop rate seem to be ~2/220 = 0.9% - Play Epic Pachinko
If there is an event with special girls, and I have Kobans, I like to try for a Girl. As a matter of fact I save all my Kobans for this.
Girl Drop Rate: 1/16 = 6.25%
Thanks to mejortofu for sharing his epic drop rate: 1/30 = 3.33%
- Buy legendary item if any at market
- Estimate when my Energy and Combat Power will have regenerated, wait, and repeat
The following is a list of various observations and information:
- Boss Girl Drop Rate:
- My own experiments indicate that a boss' 2nd and 3rd girl are less likely to drop than first girl.
- Event girls originally seemed to be dropped more often than 2nd or 3rd girl too, but then the improbably happened
- The Improbability Event 2017-09-13 to 15:
I had 403+ fights with Edwarda trying to get my 2nd girl drop - no love luck :-(.
Then on advancing quest I had 4 winning fights in a row:
- Donatien 1st Fight: get 1st Girl
- Donatien 2nd Fight: get 2nd Girl :-D
- Edwarda Fight: finally get 2nd Girl (can my winning streak continue? Is this a bug?)
- Donatien 3rd Fight: get 3rd Girl 8-O
- Edwarda Fight 2: what? no girl? but...but...I was invincible...
- Donatien 1st Fight: get 1st Girl
- My observations do not necessarily contradict the girl drop described in the FAQ link below.
I'm trying to get a rough estimate for the chance of a boss dropping a girl.
Drop rates are based on my very limited observations of random events (i.e. numbers could be way off and YMMV), and the *Improbability Event makes me wonder if there is any conclusions to be made from these observations:
- Event Girl 8/~1553 = ~0.52% (~200 got me Summer Red Battler, ~33 Travel Kalisa, ~200 failed to get me Justine, ~380 Mala, ~7 Gork,~336 failed to get Halloween special, ~72 got Cheryl cheerleader, ~25 Sporty Jeanne, ~300 the 2 scifi specials)
- 1st Girl 2/~2134 = ~0.14%*
- 2nd Girl 4/~1080 = ~0.37%*
- 3rd Girl 5/~990 = ~0.50%*
- Event Girl 8/~1553 = ~0.52% (~200 got me Summer Red Battler, ~33 Travel Kalisa, ~200 failed to get me Justine, ~380 Mala, ~7 Gork,~336 failed to get Halloween special, ~72 got Cheryl cheerleader, ~25 Sporty Jeanne, ~300 the 2 scifi specials)
- My own experiments indicate that a boss' 2nd and 3rd girl are less likely to drop than first girl.
- Affection (as of 2017-09-11)
- Most girls can reach 3 stars, Bunny and Juliette 5. Rumours on Wiki says Devs may slowly add more stars to other Girls. Oct 2017 Added Red Battler and Ankyo.
- The amount of affection and cost needed to advance a Girl increases with the number of Girls in your Harem. The later a girl joined the more expensive it is to raise her Affection in terms if Gifts and $ / Kobans (thanks to whtvr for pointing this out).
For details see Evolving Haremettes formulas on the Harem Wiki page - This mean that for later girls it is not cost effective to bump affection for the increased money, unless you are buffing a girls stats to be part of battle team. Unless you want the pictures, you arte better of using your money on Skill than affection for non-team battle girls; you will not make investment back for years.
- Other posters on Wiki have noted that once you have a large enough harem the current (2017-09-15) cost to advance affection for later girls is...astronomical. One can hope the Devs will rebalance this a bit, or possibly it is an attempt to monetize the Affection part of game by making you spend Kobans - the Devs want to eat too I'm sure.
- On 2017-10-02 The devs tweaked game, making higher powered Affection items available in PVP battles, Activities, and Market (and cheaper). However, unless they made the $ cost of increasing affection less, it would only be worthwhile to advance your battle team (for the skills) and your first few girls a little bit for the Harem $. For example to advance Juliette, my 2nd girl to five stars cost 1.94M $ (or 100 kobans)<insert Dr. Evil pinky bite here>. I went from 2800$/h to 3000 $/h meaning it will take 1.11 year to recover cost IF I click her button 24-7 whenever I can cash. Not likely, not a good deal :-(

- Girl Level vs Experience as of 2017-09-11
- Some of girls seem to have different level requirement than others, for example L31= is 190 or 197 xp depending on girl (190xp for Summer Red Battler, but 197xp for Rumiko). This may be an "off by one" level bug.
- In HH2 each level is relatively cheap (compared to HH1), needing 9 XP points of books at level 50. This means that some of fancier books can raise a girl 10 or more levels. However, if a girl maxes out by reaching your level, she will only keep enough XP to be 1 point short of advancing once you do. This means that expensive high XP books may not be worth it unless you can raise a girl many levels without maxing out (possibly an unintended effect of changes to HH2).
- I like to wait leveling girls until a contest awards me for it - unless Girl is on my battle team.
As of the March 28th, 2018 patch the experience to level ratios were changed, thus leaving the work Silish started and I subsequently did on this table irrelevant. I will start updating it from Level 95, all info prior is incorrect. Perhaps, someone else will come along and correct those much like I started to fill gaps that had been left prior to the patch - BDTech

- Q & A:
- Asked by Unregistered Guest: "I'm curious, but is it more effective to max out your attack stat (i.e.: hardcore for shagger), when it comes to battling, or is it more effective to spread out across all your stats?"
Your options for choosing are: equipment, buying points, and girl on your team.
Within the variability those choices give you how do you choose?
EDIT: WARNING Assumptions I based this on may not be correct. Adding a girl in my style gave bigger bonus on defence in my weakness than a girl (Bunny) not of my style with a bigger score in my weak-style. Maybe only points in your style counts for girls???
EDIT: Ok, just maximize style and excitation by experiment - see comments
I have not done math, but
1) To win you must attack, so the faster you do that the fewer hits you receive. So I rank my girls on combat team as best damage (to get the most attacks), over all best* defence, overall 3rd best* girl
2) You may be able to tune defences against opponents attack type ahead of time, subject to equipment
3) Your style points give you both attack AND health. That means they could be considered twice as valuable as the other points in general.
4) You are 20% vulnerable to one of opposed styles (and get 20% bonus against another), so I'd count defences against that style at x1.2
*Therefore my (untested) theory for ranking is to add all points for all types, from equipment, girls, and bought / buying points, AND counting points in my type x2, and defence against my opposed style x1.2. This lets me maximize my odds against most opponents (I quite like the Super Sexy equipment since it gives the most under these rules). However, except when buying points, you usually do not have control to min/max a value of x2, x1.2, x1 against cost.
If I know my opponents attack type, then only points in my style count x2, and points in defence against opponents style as x1 (or x1.2 if I'm weak against it). I usually don't bother with this - but Finalmechia has started to win a few fights since leveling to 200+ (she gets +20% damage ), so I'm thinking of tuning my selected girls and equipment against her.
2019-03-30
I did some experiments.
I fought with a legendary pirate hat <]:{ that gives me ~+1800 all stats vs expert hair that would give me 113 more points than the hat in my preferred stat, 0 everything else.
Hat: 1819, 1808, 1821, 2436, 1802
Hair: 0, 0, 1934 (+133), 0, 0
I had to reduce other equipment fighting Finalmecia boss (strongest in my opposed stat) or I'd one-shot and get no data. I won more with hat, sometimes ending above start due to gaining health.
On average (7 fights) I won with 12414 more health when using the hat.
I fought in the League, since I can fight same opponent twice (using my best main stat equipment now, and hat vs hair). I choose opponents with my weak stat. Not a lot of data for comparison since only two sample per fight, but on average I did better with hat.
With 6 opposed stat opponent, on I won by 17789 more points w hat.
In two cases I lost with hair and won with hat.
In two cases I actually did better with hair but won either way.
Conclusion: 2x1800 in non-preferred stat, and 2400 in endurance and 1800 harmony bonus is better than +113 in preferred stat.
Since in two fights hair was better than hat, this ratio may not be too far from inflection point, but 2 of 7 is not really enough samples to draw conclusion.
However, ignoring ego and harmony effect, it seems your preferred stat can be traded 1:16 for a point in both of your other stats. YMMV.
I do not have feel on relative value of your secondary stats, but I still assume defenbce against your weak stat is better.
- TODO - update from comments. Until then see comments for info provided by kind posters - thanks everyone
