What does 3-5-5 mean?
It's a way to list the normal stages.
3 means the map/continent.
5 means the 5th dungeon, which are the numbered buttons on the map.
(2nd) 5 means the 5th combat stage. Skip story stages when counting. In this case it's the second to last stage.

Differences between physical and magical attacks?
Melee attackers - Single target, high damage.

Magic (blue) attacks - Does not break enemies out of Sleep. Skills may have different elemental attributes than the character's, which will be used if the enemy is weak to it. Slower than other attackers.

Ranged attackers - Have attacks that can hit all enemies in a row. Overall lower damage than melee.

How do multiple attributes work?
If you use an item or buff that gives a character an extra elemental attribute different from their own, then defensively:
If any of the character's elements are weak to the enemy, that element will be used and your character will take extra damage. If no elements are weak, but one element is strong vs the enemy, your character takes less damage.

Offensively:
If any of the elements are strong vs the enemy, that element will be used for increased damage. Can override a skill's element. For example: Ice magic can be converted to nature magic by using a nature weapon so that it'll do bonus damage vs thunder and fire (defaults back to ice).

What skills carry over between jobs?
These skills are marked with a purple background (may appear blue when greyed out) and a partially filled white circle. Job SP abilities have the same icon, but are NOT shared. Shared skills include:
The second equipment/accessory slot skill.
The character SP abilities near max job levels.

Note: Trade skills are not shared between jobs.

When is Sacrificial Form useful?
When stacking damage buffs.

Sacrificial Form raises your damage by 100%, but also increases the damage you receive. As a bonus though, it stacks multiplicatively with other buffs.
Other skills like Brave (30%, 60%, 100%) and Fighting Spirit (+100%) will stack additively with each other.

Fighting Spirit + Maxi Brave x2 = 400% increased damage
Sacrificial form + Maxi Brave x2 = 600% increased damage.

What is Hard/Very Hard/Nightmare mode?
When selecting a quest stage to play, you can change the difficulty in the upper right.
  • Hard mode - Enemy level + 20, Exp x 1.15. First clear = 50 shards
  • Very Hard mode - Enemy level + 40, Exp x 1.32 ( x1.15 of hard mode). First clear = 1 crystal
  • Nightmare mode - Enemy level + 60, Exp x 1.52. First Clear = 1 crystal

Finish all stages in Normal mode to unlock Hard and Very hard. Finish all stages in Hard and Very Hard to unlock Nightmare. Nightmare is only available for Map 5+.

What is the best way to level?
Sometimes you can find efficient ways to get xp in time-limited events and special dungeons.

Stage 3-3-5 (second to last stage) has abnormally high xp for the stamina cost, giving 5250 character and level xp.

5-1-6, 5-2-6, 5-4-6 Are currently the best and not that hard. 408 xp/sta on Nightmare mode. Note, 5-3-6 has two tough, boss-class enemies in first row of enemies.

When do a character's stats increase?
When the character's level (NOT job level) increases, they will get a boost to all stats.
When the character's job evolves (max level increases from a duplicate card) HP and MP will go up.
Leveling up a job does not increase stats, unless you are unlocking a specific job skill that gives extra stats.

What are the stats on the exchange items?
You can click and hold on the item's picture to see the base stats. The in-game help lists the maximum stats (twice evolved) of the weapons and accessory stats. It's under the "other" section. Try this link.

Where can I find Eggs and Wheat?
The best place might (?) be the 15 stamina daily food map, as it can give 5 eggs. The follow maps can also drop eggs. Not always and sometimes multiple.
