Going by that, the scaling for this game sounds like it's gonna be really unbalanced further in the game. I'm sure most players still haven't fully break limit'd their SR/SSR units but even when we get to that point, if things really do start hitting that hard, the lack of scaling healing mechanics sounds like it's gonna be an issue in this game to where it's gonna end up being an entire glass cannon game, kill before you are hit or die.
I'm also bothered by how we have skills that increase/reduce defense when the so called defense value isn't displayed in the game in first place. Gonna guess it's just some hidden value or all defense skills are just another damage multiplier (reduce/increase damage by X) instead of actual defense stat buff/debuff.

one of the more recent videos of current DMM endgame. 1.5-2k dmg per normal attack from stage 2/3 is what im gettin hit when Typhoon manages to get off a raginf overdrive. However when you have 7-9k hp on everyone, you can take some beating. Also keep in mind that this is 1 year from where we are right now, and i beleive his total power is ~40k? dont quote me on that. And considering that we already have people with over 30k power, i assume that game scaling will slow down to a crawl (1k->30k in a month, but 30k->40k in 11 months?) So yeah, i wouldnt expect any difficulty jumps like garuda->typhoo, except maybe the introduction of Ragnarok difficulty and accessory thingy.
I'm guessing that's why everyone tends to talk in terms of attack power: because if high-difficulty fights drag on, you're going to die no matter what. Though clearly that's not the current situation, since I'm only beginning to hit 1500 heals and triple healer (or Roland + double healer) can keep my group alive more or less indefinitely.
If you look at the damage formula, defense can be viewed as a simple damage multiplier. DEF -50% = DMG +100%. That's why pairing strong A-type and B-type defense debuffs is so important and increases damage so radically, and why the extra 5% from an evolved ability like D'art's can make a bigger difference than you might expect at first glance. Conversely, attack buffs are somewhat less valuable because they're straight multipliers without that added scaling, and are also additive with assault skill rather than multiplicative. Coincidentally, the only C-frame defense debuff in the game comes from a water-element SSR kamihime.

This game is trolling me.
Yesterday I grabbed the event gatcha ticket, used it, and got a rainbow! Could it be a character-...nah, Behemoth SSR summon. New, at least, so can't complain.
Today I used my 3k gem pull, got two gold out of it. Useless SR summon and Chronos, who's new at least.
Just now I used the daily gatcha ticket, got a rainbow! Could...could this one be a chara-...NOPE! Another Behemoth SSR summon. :/
Haha, nope. Not the daily, the daily reward which granted me a gatcha ticket. That gatcha ticket is what gave me the Behemoth SSR.
Again, not really complaining, but it's kind of troll-ish that I received the exact same SSR summon, from two consecutive tickets, while the 3k gem pull gave me nothing.
I really need SSR characters. Badly. I wish this game was more like GBF with their ticket bundles, I'd definitely spend money if there was a guarantee.
