It's pretty much the same experience invested (50 more or less exp is insignifiant ) with the only advantage being that you make 1 less combination into the main unit (so you DO save some gold). But experience wise , it's pretty much the same deal

There is no argument here. Sora is right. If you don't care to be as efficient as possible then fine, it isn't for everybody to min-max, but pointing out the best way of doing things should not be put down and most uninformed players will appreciate it.

I personally have been using 4 iron mages from Return the Field! per Odette which results in lvl 11. It's not perfect but its close enough. I get bonus same class xp, only 1 combine, and have the fodder handy from farming RtF anyway.

its 50 xp. 50xp is meaningless. How many mini tin cans do you need to use to make a difference ? 10 ? 20 ? how much extra xp is that ? 500 -1000 for 20 mini tin cans ?


The only thing that you save doing that is a couple Ks of gold because you're doing only one combination , which is not the point sora was making anyway , since he was talking about xp alone.

Assuming you are using 3 spirits of the same rarity, a lvl 1 platinum female unit of the same class will give 504 xp less than a lvl 10 platinum female unit of the same class. A lvl 11 will give 56 more xp than the lvl 10, but that you can probably ignore.
You can safely ignore leveling them if you are not using spirits.

you're missing hte point. We were talking about 3x spirits + level 10 odette as oposed to 3x spirits + level 1 odette + 4 (iron/bronze units).

The experience difference between the 2 is minimal as i was pointing out. The only thing you're saving is gold at the very best. But then again , how many mini tin cans are you going to use in the first place ?

Ah, true, forgot to account for the fodder you feed the mini-tin can. So it's most likely a few thousand gold per combine, so I guess it depends on your gold situation. Worst case scenario, you delay leveling up or awakening the unit a day or two due to lack of gold.

You can debate the value of doing so all day if you like, it doesn't really matter. You're spending the exact same amount of real time by leveling the fodder first anyway so why not? Small things add up over time; whether or not you choose to make use of them for zero opportunity cost is your choice.
