1. DT:M
  2. Deck

Your deck is a knight company that you use to battle other players and raid bosses.

Generalities

You cannot include multiples of the same knight in a deck.
There are both, battle decks, used to battle other players, and raid decks, used to battle raid bosses.
You can set up to six battle decks through deck expansions, and up to three raid decks.

The commands below can be used from the deck page :
  • [Set as Main Deck] : Set a battle deck as your main deck to conduct non-raid battles.
Set a raid deck as your main deck to conduct raid battles only.
  • [Recommended Deck] : By selecting a recommended deck, your deck will be edited with a focus on battle power within the leadership limits for your current knights.
  • [Reset Deck] : Removes all knights from the deck currently displayed.

Battle Decks

Battle decks are decks for battling other users (and story bosses), made up of up to nine knights as limited by the player's leadership.
To edit a deck, you must place at least one card in the central position as a leader.

In battles against other players, knights' defense is multiplied by 1.5, and the leader's defense is multiplied by 2. Their attack is not modified at all.
Battles are lost when a turn ends with the leader's defense (HP) at 0.

Here is an example of Deck with good positioning of cards for Coliseum :
Deck
  • Warrior-oriented deck, there are multiple buffs applied :
➤ The globals (warrior-type) from Beginner Ema, Sect and Nirva
➤ The global (every Knight) from Reina
➤ The position-specifics from Asuka (which buffs Asuka, Schneider, Nirva and Sect), Schneider (which buffs Beginner Ema and Geselle), Geselle (which buffs Schneider and Sect), Captain Fiene (which buffs Nirva and Sect)
  • The front lane is composed of multiple Action Activation skills (one from Schneider, one from Geselle and two from Sect). Sect is in a corner to be able to use his 2 Action skills on two turns.
  • The back is composed of cards with Passive skills or Starting Activation skills (like Asuka, Beginner Ema and Nirva).
  • Shoal is the leader because of her Evasion Skill which allows her to ignore a lot of potential damages.
  • There are also multiple potential debuffs from Reina, Asuka, Beginner Ema and Geselle
NB : This is only one example of deck, there is a lot of other decks viable.

Raid Decks

Raid decks are decks for battling raid bosses, made up of up to eight knights.
Raid decks are not limited by leadership.
To build a deck, you must place at least one knight in the deck.

Some maths...
Raid Deck

Let's say you have a +99 Teedee (55 590 ATK) and a +99 Boyd (47 425 ATK) and all skills of all cards are maxed
Teedee and Boyd will both get 4x Extreme Buff (+80%), 4x Major Buff (+60%), 3x Moderate Buff (+40%) and assuming buffs are multiplicative (as tested here)
So Teedee will get to 10 562 194,2 ATK and Boyd to 8 952 851,8 ATK
Then, due to some cards having only 1 target to buff (2x Extreme + 1x Major), we get the potential to have
TeedeeBoyd
54 754 414,88 952 851,8
34 221 509,314 324 563,0
30 419 119,316 115 133,3
19 011 949,625 784 213,3
16 899 510,729 007 240,0
10 562 194,246 411 584,0
Average

Total average51 077 380,6
Best outcome63 707 266,7
Worst outcome44 796 162,9
This show that buffing is more interesting than Raw Attack Power.

Caution : This is only simple maths, however every deck is different. You'll have to make your own calculations to define which deck is better for you, it can also depend a lot on Damaging Skills.

Do note that if you have 2 differents cards that you can use as follow :
- First Knight have 80 000 Attack Power, 1 Extreme Buff and 2 Major Attack
- Second Knight have 60 000 Attack Power, 2 Extreme Buff and 1 Major Attack
Each card is already buffed by 9 Extreme Buffs (to make the calculations easier), then we get :
First Knight80 000 x 1,8
10
= 28 563 737,81 Damages with normal attack
28 563 737,81 x 0,3 x 2 = 17 138 242,69 Damages with both Major damaging skills
28 563 737,81 + 17 138 242,69 = 45 701 980,5 Total Damages on 1 turn
Second Knight60 000 x 1,8
11
= 38 561 046,05 Damages with normal attack
38 561 046,05 x 0,3 = 11 568 313,81 Damages with Major damaging skill
38 561 046,05 + 11 568 313,81 = 50 129 359,86 Total Damages on 1 turn
In some cases, 2 damaging skills will be better, but it depends on few things (buffs, strength of skill, etc..)
You should also think about wether or not it is worth to sacrifice one buff that potentially buffs 2 cards to increase the damages of one card that would have more damaging skills.
