| "Increase the XP of your harem to improve their battle stats" | Books are the primary source of granting experience to the guys in your Harem and raising their levels. Each guy's level will cap at your account's current level. If you give them more exp than necessary to reach their cap, then a portion of that will carry over when you level up, but only enough to get 1 less than what's needed to hit the next level. Raising a guy's level is useful in raising their stats as well as giving you a bonus to your Endurance for your total Harem Level which is shown above the list of your guys in the Harem menu.
The top right panel of the shop will show your guys with the one you are giving books to highlighted. Simply scroll left or right through your harem list to find the one you wish to give experience to to give to that guy, or find them on your Harem page then click the button beside their xp gauge to go directly to the Books shop with that guy selected.
The cost for books is fixed per point of experience they grant with the cost coming to about 200 cash (plus a small fraction) per point of experience granted, so it doesn't matter too largely which ones you buy in the end. The only true benefit is that you'll need less quantity of higher level books, and by extension, less clicks to give to your guy. Mythic items are the exception to this, costing kobans instead of cash.
All five rarities can be purchased from the shop, however higher level books won't appear until you reach a certain level. Epic books will only start to appear once you reach level 81. Legendary grade books will appear once you reach level 201. Additionally, at that point, Common and Rare books will no longer spawn in the shop. At level 351, Mythic 1 Mythic item will regularly appear.
As a warning, Mythic tier books cannot be used on a guy if he requires less XP than the Book will grant to reach his max level, the only exception being Spellbooks which will automatically put a guy at his current max level, regardless of what that max is.
Aside from purchasing them in the shop, books can be won in Epic, Great, or Mythic Pachinko, or can occasionally be obtained from Daily Missions or Arena Missions. Guys can also earn experience from winning fights in the Arena while on your battle team. |  |
