Not sure if that's a trick that will work 100% of the time, but I can verify that it doesn't work if you pull Ampys out of Normal Gacha. (Assuming this method DOES work. And yes, you can pull Ampys out of Norm Gacha for some reason; used up 50k+ seeds and got at least 3 or 4 Ampys out of it.)
...That, or said trick doesn't work on "10+1+free 5* ticket" gacha, which is what I pulled from. (Hey, I at least got the last 4* I needed for a full collection as well as Japanese Iris, who I don't have.)
