I switched it bit around with the helper squad to boost it's usefullness in the current ultimate map. Just changed Canola to Edelweiss for the Blunt Type and initial Burst, if the squad just arrives with 1 HP at the top Boss. I will propably keep it that way until the next phase starts, would have put a Toad Lily in there to, if i had one. :/
If somebody thinks my normal helper squad, as seen in my signature would be more usefull, please let me know.

I like Edelweiss on a helper, any sort of healing is useful and so is having a second squad that can clear nests.
I'm starting to wonder if the game includes affection and equipment in battle even if it doesn't show it in the power. My 60k helpers feel a lot stronger than my 60k squads... one of them even cleared 12-5 alone. Or maybe total power is not really a good metric for the strength of a squad?
Well the type of girl can play a huge factor in the potential damage output. Sure a little bit of RNG concerning Skill activation and what enemy gets focused play a role, but just sometimes. The point of the thread was also to see how much Affection, equipment and Def/HP play a role in calculating the power of a helper squad. A Toad Lily can be a wonder in 12-5 or the Ultimate Event map, for making the fly's less threatening.
Thanks for the cap Garrick! Because of that and thanks to your level 70 Orchid eliminating the scaling system, I was able to confirm that it's not only the Affection Bonus that isn't displayed, but also any Ampy's that are used as well.
I've also been conducting some small scale damage tests and can safely say that Affection Bonuses are included in the helper squad, even though it's not displayed; Ampy's should be the same since their bonuses appear to act similarly to Affection Stats. I also got a small bit of data that favors Equipment being included with Helper Squads, but not enough to back it up.
As for Total Power in general, don't forget that HP constitutes the bulk of it. Squads can become deceptively powerful, especially when Rainbow-ranked units, are buffing up the party's power. Also, units with higher atk.power also tend to have more defense in favor of HP, which drops the Total Power ratings, even if they should perform similarly otherwise.

Well, we just gotta see into those calculations, then again most bonuses don't reflect, hence why most helper squads perform WAY BETTER than what their squad power might suggest.
I wanted to level up Edelweiss and Violet badly so I could swap them in the helper squad for this event (coz blunt/hit type knights work well in current stuff), then again I keep getting Red manyus. Before Lavender came, I had a bunch of purples; before Edelweiss came, I had a bunch of blues, and when the last event was about to end, I had a bunch of yellows. So I guess next event girl is Slice-type? lol

I have been noticing that the power sort likes to put St. Paulia at the top because of her huge HP even though she's far from the strongest girl on my team. I've started sorting by atk instead and it seems to do a better job of ranking everyone.
I've noticed that too, but I actually like it. HP usually seems like the most valuable stat to me since you can't increase it with equipment. There are a few girls I have that feel almost crippled by their low HP, like Cepha Lanthera. Her other stats are great, but it doesn't really matter when everyone else lives multiple turns longer than her.
