That is not true. Well, not entirely. Gift box have pretty much "unlimited" capacity, but
1) You will only see your 100 top items. Ones pushed beyond this window are still there, but will not be accessible until you remove enough top items to bring them in that last 100
2) All items in present box have expiration date of 1 month since acquisition. So if you let them lie in your box for too long, they will rot and disappear)

I will refrain from buying flower gems until we receive these kind of gacha. But I fear that these will cost a lot of FG (or direct currency, like nutaku gold).

Well you'd probably waste just as many gems rolling the current gachas so it wouldn't be much worse.

Yeah that's a pain, I make sure I have 120 stamina whenever I go 12-5 so I can do the 80 SG if it spawns.

For upgrading equipment, fuse two lower level equips together before adding it to what you want to upgrade. It gives more exp, saves gold, and helps preserve space. I haven't had any inventory issues doing it this way and I usually only upgrade +10 equips. If you want a cheap stats boost early on in the game, its probably fine to upgrade some +9 rings, but the other stuff is common enough that I feel like its a waste to upgrade anything but +10 (or in the case of earrings, a waste in general unless you have nothing better). Character accessories are a good equipment dump too if you have nothing better, they're just expensive and don't give huge bonuses.

When I was new and didn't know what I was doing, I pumped a few extra stuff into my highest rings at the time, which I kind of regret, but it probably helped me clear stuff

When I don't have the space/gold I just don't pull new equips. I think I was sitting at 5k equip seeds for a while because I was saving gold to upgrade an event girl.
