Toad Lily have alternative animation.

Edelweiss riding her hammer/segway is definitely my favourite so far (it was also the first one I noticed).

Indeed she does. Hinoki Cypress does it too. It might be common to all Magic-type girls who have staffs.

Went to evolve a slice 3* and did the 80 stamina map for the level 20 dragons first.

It eventually took 3 attempts to get enough of them. They missed a chest twice and 7 of 10 chests were level 5 dragons.

Does the golden chest in the middle of the 80 stamina bonus stage give anything special? I've been farming 12-3 + 80stam bonus stage for about a month now I think, and I've literally never gotten to the chest in the middle. I am SO curious as to what's in there, although I suspect that it's probably "just another chest", which would kinda suck especially since I've run that map 100+ times trying to get to that darn chest..

It's just another chest, I've only gotten it once, it was a Manyu.

It's not even a 100% sure lv100 manyu. Just a bonus chest, if you can get to it.
