I guess it's time to gimp myself, there's no use in having that high of a helper squad speed right?
High speed helper squads make great tanks for lower lever players to race through some maps, but for three-medalling, they're terrible, since they increase the chance of your regular units not even reaching some pests before the speedy helper hits the flagpole. So great for clearing, terrible for completing.

agreed! But not only that, high speed squads are also great for grinding stages. As an example, currently all I do in this game is farm 12-5 so I just place a super strong and fast squad that finishes the stage more quickly and saves me from complete boredom. So friends with helper squads of 700+ speed and 70k+ power are a must have on my allies list
But even if your power is lower than that, it's still useful for farming lower level gardens or weekly stages

Well, currently it's a choice between 100k with 808 speed and 99k with 624 speed (power levels seen from my perspective). I've had the favour of RNGesus crushed by speedy squads in the past before, so I'm quite hesitant to go with the 808 speed

Go with the 808 speed, your helper squad together with the one of blacksaber are the ones I use the most to farm 12-3 :^)

I'll even pretend your 6* is mine.

This is how I currently perceive your helper squad.

Alright, went with the 808 for now. Replaced Bipinna Cosmos with Orchid Wydler, whom together with Alpinia & Edelweiss all give speed bonuses as their evolution ability

Btw, what "special" animations have you guys noticed?
For example, Orchid Wydler has 3 moving animations: a neutral one, one with a >< face and one where she drags her pet along. Also, 2 different cheer animations.
Alpinia has 2 different neutral idling ones, and 1 more that has her holding a teddy bear (her preferred gift-type).
Mountain Lily sometimes uses 1 rapier when her skill procs, sometimes uses 2.
Edelweiss sometimes zips around on her weapon instead of running on foot.

The "weirdest" one I have seen is Cepha Lanthera's cheer animation. When she starts her cheer animation, sometimes her chest plate pops off and you eyes get graced with bouncing goodness. Try it out if you have her evolved, go to her animations page and keep switching between cheer and any other one, it'll happen. This, to me, feels the most out of place one. Not that I mind

(Yes, I have been that bored to mess around with animations)

Only thing I can think of that wasn't mentioned is Toad Lilly, who I think has multiple idle animations like Alpinia, but I don't have her so I can't check them out.

Also, Segway Edelweiss is the best
    Idol Wars Z - Lied
FKG - Lied (529715370) Currently full, adding people when I remove inactives. Might be able to open a space if you PM me.

Oh right, the blushing one. I don't have her either. +1 to Segway Edelweiss!

I would kill to get this version of Orchid Wydler though (when she eventually comes out) Just LOOK at her them

Well, with your squad, I was able to 3-medal event map ?-3 AND get the chest at the bottom (big cake!).

I basically set up a unit named "The Slow Boats" where all my squads have less than 500 speed, one squad went as low as 399 (and was quite weak, to make sure they'd fail against the boss). So I put your squad on the top node, together with the weak/slow squad. The weak/slow squad would flip the blue arrows and barely beat the single group of pests on its way, but fail against the boss, and your speed squad cleaned out the pests hidden behind the flipnodes before any of the other squads reached the boss.

What!? I need to see that haha!
