Are these EVER going to be worth using now we have event sets out of the wazoo?

They will become useful when they will add Bond Crystal crafting from equipement.

I mean.... they still useful when it comes to upgrading your equipment

Aren't gacha and equipment seeds also used for leveling promotion abilities (when we get them)?

Seeds are only for the initial purchase of the speed modifiers. A one-time cost of 25k gacha seeds and 10k mid-grade seeds.
