Sure the RNG can be bad for some people, but you don't need them, since the event maps, where they would matter are really easy. Yeah, new players might not beat the 24 Medals if the started 1 week or so before the event started, but just getting the girl is already a huge addition to your party. You could propably also do 12-5 with just 3-4* and your one or 2 5*.
