At least for the higher stamina ones, I find 12-3 + Secret Garden give more lvl 100 manyus than the wednesday event. The only advantage of the Wednesday event is that you know you'll specifically get yellow and purple, while 12-3 + high level Secret Garden is random and gives any color manyu.

At lower level, the difference isn't that big, so if you specifically need purple and yellow but not blue and red, then just go for the day event.
