Quick Evolution/Awakening Question

Hey I've been looking around the various FKG wikis, and I've read about evolution. It says the level will be reset it will be harder to level the girls. It also says that affection bonuses will grow. I just wanted to ask, will affection reset upon evolution? I've been working on affection pretty hard just on the side of my weekly manyu farming, and I wanted to know whether that was in vain at all.

I just evolved my first girl. She's still at 100% affection.

I know the original question was answered, but I just want to add that due to stats dropping after Evolution, but Affection bonus stats actually increase, it's actually REALLY helpful to have max affection before evolution so the girl's stats don't drop too far (sometimes they increase in fact even with the base stats down)
