Guess I have to play the devil's advocate. The reason for playing a game does not rely on completion but satisfaction. The latter gradually drops as time goes. The only way to maintain is having more powerful character. Now,since a new character is guaranteed every 2 weeks and you can have at most 20 units active.Hence the "minimum lifespan" of the game is 40 weeks.
Given the fact that these event units are slightly weaker than most 5* units but stronger than everything you can have with the free gacha, had you been utterly unlucky, it is possible to halt entirely once you have 20 event units.

It is not too bold to say that it is gameover once you have 20 6*, and for the more hardcore players,2000 amps of each type, and for the whales, maxed skill and equip slot.My team formation has not changed much after a week I started and now, except a few more event units.Once that is exhausted, there is no more point in playing.(and yes,I acknowledge there would be second evolution and other features but if that serves as an argument, one may as well play the DMM version)

It seems to be missing out a lot if one quit, but the truth is the inherent limitation has made the game bound to be mundane given enough time. The factor of luck is and may be the only decisive factor in the game when it literally all depends on random note and gacha.

    TL;DR
Be informed about the unavoidable fate of the game and decide if you are going down the road.

Point of this game is harem collection, so as long as you have new girls coming (that's it, new event every 2 weeks, there will not be game over, ever.
Then, every event also means 17 FG (2x8 from maps and 1 from event girl) so every 3 events you will be able to try your luck in fishing somebody from ever-expanding roster of premium girls to expand your harem even more. Or, to do more rolls in lucrative promotions like guaranteed gold ticket one later.

But why collect past full gold / rainbow squad, you might ask? Ha, waifus are rewards on their own. If people can't see that, then this game is clearly not for them

I have to say, you shouldnt quit the game because "Its difficult to have flower gems". Im f2p myself and i find this game really playable even with the difficulties of obtaining flower gems. I havent played this game too long time yet and yestarday i happened to gather 50 Gems. Once gettin to 50 u can already fill ur whole unit with high rare girls. And i have to remind that whole game is full of special events, and as by doing them u can exchange items for tier 5 girls by easy just an quick guide how to gain full tier 5 unit for f2p <3

(ps. im not havin full t5 due played just a month or a bit longer. But working hard for it)

Yeh it's not generous with the gems, but not TOO tight with them either

A 50 pull you work towards, and it means something - I just wish the odds on getting something good were better then 6.5% per pull, gold should be more like 10% IMHO

Just to add my own two cents (from a f2p perspective, at least): This game is not for everyone. If you're bored and have a few hours to kill, you're not going to say "oh let's play FKG for a while". It's a background game, you leave it running in another tab/window while doing other stuff. The fun/satisfaction gained from it is from getting a larger and larger roster, leveling and evolving and, er, "affection-ing" the ones you do have, and the occasional "omgwtf" shiny from a gacha.

These are all more long-term goals, so you need a certain amount of patience to enjoy them. If not, then there's nothing wrong with that. It's your free time; you should spend it doing stuff you want to do.

That being said though... Specifically on the topic of flower gems, I actually thought the same for a while. When I first started (a few months back), I was drowning in all the flower gems, but then quickly (as you have) hit the point where they start to dry up. And I thought "well I guess I won't be using gems much". Now, though...

    * New event every 2 weeks, each with 16 gems, or 8 a week.
    * Reissued event every 2 weeks, each with 2 gems, or 1 a week.
    * Approximately 2 flower gems per week from the login (ignoring the login cards with nothing but gems).

That's 50 gems every 4-5 weeks, 100% guaranteed, once your teams are strong enough to 3-medal the event 80 maps. Factor in the occasional affection flower gems, the nothing-but-gem login cards, and the odd reward of gems from gathering or whatever, and you can do a 10+1 pull once a month on average.

So if you decide to stay, that needs to be your mindset. You've hit the point where you need to buckle down and get stronger teams, pump up your helper squad to get better friend requests, max out your best five-star (because if I recall that affects how powerful the friend teams are), and getting into the routine of trying to clear (if not medal) the event maps. You've passed the "easy at the start" hook. It's a bit of a hump to get over, before things start getting easier again, but it's more than possible.

This is a good post. After a while, you get to a point where the only missions worth doing are the 80 Stamina bonus missions for the extra Life Crystals etc., and that is not many moves/clicks per hour.

I have started playing X Overd and that is the reverse, they feed you so much stamina and raid points that you can spend hours on the game (especially since the fight animations are so slow). I am at Rank 82 and there is so much to do if you re-equip squads for Raid Bosses and map runs.

What? Event girls being weaker? What you're talking about? You always get them with lvl5 skill and 4 equipment slots. How can that be inferior?

  9. I am guessing he means some non event 5* have higher HP/ATK/DEF thresholds than their event counterparts.

Not to mention... Edelweiss, definitely one of the strongest 5* to put on any team.
