Sounds like you ran the intermediate or hard mission for the baby dragons? Lol

Which maps would you suggest to earn the gold dragons? Naturally i assumed the 80 Stamina ones, but there's only 4 chests (high end items in high end maps).
On the beginner map, there are 2 chests for 25 Stamina. 3 Times would be 75 Stamina for 6 chests.
Sounds like a better deal for me. Would be logical if gold dragons didn't drop there, but i didn't test it. Maybe the chance to get a gold chest there is less likely...
What are your experiences? Where do you farm the dragons? I cleared the 80 stamina maps several time and thought maybe there is a smarter way.
EDIT: Just looked up the first map. There ought to be no gold dragons in the beginner chests. Still - If you compare it to the intermediate map: 3 Chests for 50 Stamina (~17/chest) is better than 4 for 80 (20/chest) + 3 of the 4 chests on the advanced map have a chance to be missed.

And that's the problem, we don't know the droprates for gold dragons (or Manyus for that matter), we don't even know whether there is actually any variety in those rates between the different maps.
And with FKG, I wouldn't blindly assume that more stamina=better. Just look at the intermediate Secret Garden or daily gold maps, which aren't as efficient as the beginner maps. Or 13-X not being as efficient as 12-3 or 12-5. The rewards actually don't seem to be very important when the developers design these maps. They seem more interested in creating a puzzle-aspect and making the maps somewhat fun to do. Difficulty is mostly decided by the level of the pests, and the potential rewards scale with that. Avarage or minimal rewards hardly seem to be taken into consideration at all, only potential maximum rewards.
Well, from collective experience (my own and others here), what he states it true. the gold level 100s pretty much never (if they ever do, I've never seen it) show up in the Beginner, and are very rare in Intermediate, where over time they're rare-ish in Advanced.
That said, RNG loves to screw with people sometimes and adorn them other times, so if you want to give Intermediate a go and see if you get a lucky streak, by all means go ahead.
My own experience:
Beginner: 80/20/0
Intermediate: 50/45/5
Advanced: 30/50/20
Also, you say that 3/4 chests on Advanced can be missed but the chances of missing that many in the same run is absurdly low (ALL of your units would have to go through RNG nodes to the center-left, through the RNG node into the nests.
Assuming you use default setup and all possible paths have the same odds, the chance of that happening is:
Each of the top 3: 1/2 x 1/2 = 1/4
Bottom 2: 1/3x1/2 = 1/6
1/4 x 1/4 x 1/4 x 1/6 x 1/6 = 1/2304
Just saying.
I wouldn't farm anything other than 80 stamina for the big dragons.

Thanks for your opinions and estimations. Actually i don't see a way to miss 3 treasures in one run. I just wanted to mention, that 3 of them have the potential to get missed, so you get only 2 or 3 treasures in one run AND that's the difference to intermediate run, cause there you have a 100% of getting all 3 chests. I will try out the intermediate run today in the evening with 200+ stamina and will let you know the results. Afterwards you can thank me and grind the intermediate run from now on until doomsday xD

HAHA. Not quite. x'D
4 runs, 2 times 2 gold chest, 2 time 2 gold chests - no gold dragon. maybe bad luck - but I'm also back to 80s run.
