You can participate at any time during the half hour of the event, even during the last 10 seconds (though I highly advice against making it so close because of the popups and long loading times).
I've joined Dream Fest several times during its last couple of minutes, and usually lost horribly on those occasions because the opponent had already worn out my team. But also won a couple of times because of that, because the opponent figured he/she already won because I was offline, and left. Only for me to completely ruin his/her team during the last few minutes.

Most likely your production has chosen a different Dream Fest time if your Participate button stayed grey. Only time you can enter if your Participate button turned pink. You can check the time selected by your production by going to Production page, located on menu button, and reading pink banner located below the "Top" tab. You can also look at time remaining for next Dream Fest by looking at pink banner located in Dream Fest.

Well, so I guess there is a bug since my button stayed grey, and now the global Timer says I have to wait 23h and 20min for the next DF, which is not possible since there are 2 schedules each day...

One Thing about that game drives me already nuts

Have to reload a dozen times to log into Idol Wars Z^^

Try the SFW ones, it's not that load heavy during DF.
Idol wars & Idol warsZ are the same thing,
the only difference are, the ones logging thru 18+[Idol warsZ] are a bunch of ******* ( ͡° ͜ʖ ͡°)b.

Last event we got a Lion King reference in the enemy names. This time around we've got an ABBA reference instead. XD

I really trying to enjoy IWZ but goddamn that loading + ui is just horrible. Let's see if I can torture myself for that 5* ticket.

To anyone who is interested if I get 5 Gems or not, it is simple to know if I WILL get it or not.(It's safe to assume that we will get the rewards(since we won't get Mirabilis immediately unlike previous events) at the end of current event and both events(Mirabilis and Xover) ends at the same time)

Look at the picture below and see the three red boxes I put there. First two didn't have any buttons there due to me already finished the requirements needed. I haven't finished getting H scenes(probably the reason why some needed to use IWZ instead of the safe one) so I won't get the Equipment Seeds.



Likewise, I already fulfilled my role in FKG so I get all the rewards for IWZ side. Too bad I will resume playing for short time

Not sure about it. I had already 4 H scenes available ("fantasy" only), but the button stay there. The same with the 4th Quest: Reach Level 10 (I did it quickly and the button stay there) and the 5th: Participate to a DF (I did it as well, the button stay).
I guess the 2 first don't have any button simply because you complete them automatically.
