Odds wise, you get 1.85 Rainbows (plus some Golds and Silvers) for every $150 USD, or $81.08 per Rainbow on average.
The reason people suggest to only roll if you're new is not because of the rainbows, but the golds. ~20 golds is hard to pass up, even if you're bound to get dupes.
Good point there. On average from 33 rolls, there will be 21.5 golds (plus the 1.8 or so Rainbows) and 9.7 ish Silvers. 22 are guaranteed to be Gold or Rainbow, which is enough to fill 4 squads.
I don't mind Gold dupes myself - Equipment slot is handy plus the chance for a skill up.
the golds would be nice but too rich for my blood
This actually isnt a bad gacha. I might consider doing it. Its a lot better than this one was:
New Year's Step-Up (12/30/16 - 1/6/17): Three 11-roll steps, step 1 ($100): regular rates, step 2 ($50): 5* and 6* only (95%/5%), step 3 ($30): 5* and 6* only (90%/10%)
That one was bad but this one can get you really good stuff. I think ill have no need for gold ones after this one and hopefully ill also get some rainbow ones out of it. I dont think youll get higher chances getting 6 stars from a 11-roll...So ill try my luck.
Update: seen people roll anywhere from 1-9 rainbows, so I think I'll go for it when I get home.

Decided to roll, overall happy considering new units and beating the average. The last one with Maple was me feeling giddy / cocky so I went for the reissued priority gacha... wanting Cherry, but I'll take those gold / rainbow dupes.
