I agree, but Helenium did pretty well for herself in the polls despite the crying and her reputation as the worst 6*.
Toad is relatively well liked/spoken of fondly, and is one of the starter golds you can get. She's doing pretty terrible compared to most/all of the other starter golds: Camellia and Convallaria are both crushing Toad, hell Camellia's BRIDE form is beating poor Toad Lily. She's much less loved than I expected.

Yeah, I don't think there are any starter golds. The gold you get at the start can be anyone, unlike the starter silver.

Toad Lily was a launch gold though.
