We are at about the same spot - needing another 31 x 80 Stamina Maps to clear everything (roughly 1,037 cakes per 80 Stamina map from 485 cakes and 8 dolls). With Stage 2 maps usually giving more bonus (e.g., 500 cakes and 9 dolls), it will be less than 31 maps

Well... no sorry. Usually second summonable stage give only a few (like 5 or 10) more currency. So, it's better to do only the first one. It give less but it's shorter and you have more chance to get the precious seconds for an extra run (unless if you don't have fast enough team/internet and you can't do the mission in less than ~25s).

Actually the chances are good you will be able to do both in the exact same time so the second one is always better to do... at least from passed events this has been true.

i don't remember a single event where the first phase/stage was more profitable than the second just my experience
my fastes team has 926, in the past this was enough to run the the stages 3 times in 1 minute, so i'm confident^^
