I really hope not; I'd probably purchase stuff that was only available via promotion (such as Bakery Sakura, Agave, etc), but for trophies for completing challenge maps I'd infinitely rather have the maps.

the thing is, if those equips realy are that good, you could have 2 of ever one of them. but only if they come for free, sometimes... (doubt that).
