You see, that’s exactly why FKG staff internally price the 6* Knights at $50-$60 and then offer periodic steep deals on them so it’s rare to pay that amount in practice.

If you set $30 as a standard price and always charge $30 for them, consumers stay away as they don’t feel like they get a deal.

Price them internally at $50 or more, but offer frequent lower $30 style prices in deals, and customers will jump on the deals, thinking they’re saving money as it’s a discount off the internal ‘standard’ expected price.

And, every once in a while, you can offer that awful weekly 6* Exchange ticket gacha at the $50+ ‘standard’ price point and the richest folks who are most eager for a new 6* Knight will still pay it because, while it’s not a discount, it doesn’t feel like a ripoff either.

That is why I think the FKG staff internally value 6* Knights at $50, even if there are frequent discounts and it’s rare for a customer to actually pay that amount in practice.

(I’d wager the extra $10 difference covers the cost of choosing your own 6* with an exchange ticket. Knights are $50 internally when offered individually, but Tickets are $60 as you pay a higher premium to choose your own. But in practice, in 2018, no one’s asking us for that much money for 6* Knights or tickets. So the effective price we expect is lower than the internal price associated with the characters / tickets.)
