Actually If I read the event info correctly that is not true. You get 1 on day 1, 2 boss attempts on day 2, 3 on 3 etc. When the second phase starts it may go back to 1 again but then it may not. If it does not you will have many attempts by then and could possibly get the last 4 pieces in one day. If you are wondering why they would do it this way, it's likely because the higher level bosses will take multiple attempt uses to beat. They did in past events so this one should not be that different.

I read the same as you, but yesterday, day 2, I only got 1 attempt.
