I actually noticed the same thing on my own teams (including the debuff squad), where most 6* girls also have full equipment and are fully amped up. It's kinda like there is some odd modifier at work that caps the effect of DEF for 6* girls stronger than it does for 5* girls.

honestly, just the base stats alone are a difference....

factor in better abilities and a higher affection boost and the def difference skyrockets

not an objection, just stating a point

Does anybody know if a full debuff team is worth it?
With that i mean building a team that reduces enemies ATK by 70%
It's hard to accomplish but is it worth it? (Specially if it's a bosses event where the highest level bosses are notably strong compared to non-event ones)

Or are evasion teams still better?

5 * evasive role is also recommended.

if you're really trying to tank, then i'd grab as much atk debuff as you can get, then set (and level) the def ability if possible

evasion could help too, but if you're hit then atk down debuffs and def up buffs becomes priority

Evasion teams are better, but since there's 4 squads to a unit, you can make both.
Something that is also worth considering: adding a girl that lowers trigger. I picked Southern Cross for that purpose myself, but I believe Gentian also has that passive, and I think there's a 6* with the skill coming soon as well.

The whole team is both Hit and Magic & Skill 1.6 & -40

This may be my next RB battle or a more difficult challenge team.

I am going with Epidendrum, Pumpkin, Burning Bush, Iberis, Kerria

I really like that Miss ability that Iberis got along with a taunt on Pumpkin, can take some big time damage, staying with Burning Bush for now. -20, 1.8 skill act, Magic & Hit weakness

Things are going to get real interesting with new blooms. Would love to put a bloomed Snowdrop in for Burning Bush

If you want Bush to be combined with Snowdrop

You can consider soap & water lily & Iberis&bush&Snowdrop

    Can be a team hit & Pierce & Magic & enemy skills -50% & miss-12% & -15%buff & skill 1.6 (of course need to bloom
p.s:Water lily also has the first round of 1.65 skills to launch

Soap is similar to kerria and adds Iberis and makes bush make the team magic & part of the hit
Water lily is the catalyst for the whole team Pierce (need to bloom

Unfortunately, adding pumpkin is impossible because she is consistent with the bush attribute.(for the moment

Also as a reference, the combination of kerria & pumpkin & Iberis & sensitive plants (not bloomed) & Epidendrum ( swimsuit) can make the whole team slice - Hit - Magic & -20% and Skill 1.6
