Not bad...but the title is slightly misleading; the only person with 100% on turn 1 is Justicia. Your overall skill trigger buff is an added 80%, with 180% on turn 1.

    Girls
    Nerine: 29% base
    Justicia: 38% base
    Cymbidium: 30% base
    Kale: 28% base
    Wax Vine (Xmas): 28% base

    Turn 1
    Nerine: 81.2%
    Justicia: 106.4%
    Cymbidium: 84%
    Kale: 78.4%
    Wax Vine (Xmas): 78.4%

    Turn 2:
    Nerine: 52.2%
    Justicia: 68.4%
    Cymbidium: 54%
    Kale: 50.4%
    Wax Vine (Xmas): 50.4%

Even after the first turn, your girls are still doing well. Pity the skill activation doesn't seem to affect the whaleship.

Actually, with 4 girls giving the 1.2 trigger rate increase and Cymbidium as the fifth girl, you get a trigger multiplier of 3.6 (1.8 for the normal trigger girls added up, times 2 for Cymbidiums' passive, since that one is multiplative, not additive with the normal passive). Next, you simply divide 100% by that 3.6 multiplier to get the minimum base trigger rate the girls need from their skill to get a guaranteed trigger, which is 27.78%. So yes, on turn 1, all of Matrix's girls are guaranteed to trigger.

Which also explains why Cymbidium in my trigger squad has a ~4% chance to miss: I have only 3 regular trigger girls 1.6 * 2 = 3.2 -> 100%/3.2 = 31.25%, and Cymbidiums' skill only goes to a natural trigger rate of 30%. All other girls in my trigger squad have guaranteed triggers (32-34%, so they're above the 31.25% tresshold). Or, 30% * 3.2 = 96%.
Obviously, I'm waiting for Fritillaria's bloom, which gives her a 1.2 trigger multiplier as well.

Where are you getting that Cymbi's ability acts as a separate multiplier? I didn't see this on her unit data here, nor on the DM wikia.

Lots of testing I did ages ago. Identical skills turned out to work additive, while different skills proved to be multiplative.

It is a multiplier that acts after the affection multiplier. This was confirmed by the devs several times when they were questioned.

TBH, if you have both a Cymbi and Dendro, you can place those girls elsewhere. Dendro will normally kill everything first turn and once she has her bloom this will include whale ship as well.

Not necessarily doubting here, I'm just surprised that this info never made it into either repository of info for units. I don't suppose there's any source of a dev confirming this?

I'm inclined to take Drip's word on his testing, but I'd like to play with it myself when I get some time to run trials on this.

The part that amazes me most of all is, if true that Cymbi's ability acts as a secondary multiplier then that is an insane ability for a 6* to have, let alone a 5*, and Cymbidium should be the first non-event 5* people should aim for (waifu considerations aside).

Cymbidium is the only girl in the game with that x2 on first turn, there are a few with x1.5 on first turn and they work the same way but only for the girl with the skill.
So a 1.8x team with Dendrobium means that Dend gets x2.7.
