while priorities won't change, the meta will. These ampies can only be used AFTER you've maxed out the stat increase, effectively doubling it (so you can get 6k extra HP this way, 2k extra atk, 800 extra defense).

Exactly. There is just three separate parts to it. ATK DEF HP You don't have to max all three.
