What Ikki said, affection and ampys have no effect on helper power.

I keep hearing back-and-forths about how ampies are or aren't added to the total for helper power. We need some hard math for this much.

EDIT: After calculating my helper squad power with the help of Flashget and Free Lancer from Discord, turns out ampies aren't added to total helper squad power display afterall.

Still won't stop me from pumping them all into the bronze waifus.
