I don't know if this is the proper place to ask questions, as I don't really go here much, but I'll ask anyways. So I have enough Life Crystals to get a rainbow skillbloom but I'm not sure who to give it to. I only have 2 6 stars, Apricot and Mistletoe, and I'm leaning towards giving it to Apricot because it shouldn't be too hard for me to bloom her (idk when Mistletoe gets hers). Also, where do I get the birds? I know I can get one from the event gacha, but I plan on getting another soon.

You can get bloom birds from the Whale Airship shop under Exchange or from the missions under the "Concept" tab when you select "Campaign" from the side menu.

Hmm... well, I can't do whale stuff yet so I don't have any sun medals (maybe I'm going too far for where I'm currently at...?), although I can afford one bird if I spend all of my honor medals on getting sun medals, would that be a stupid idea?

If you can't do whale right now, then that's probably your best bet. You can do the 'Concept' missions to farm for honor medals and at the same time possibly get bloom birds from the missions themselves.

You can also get some petals and birds from the current event gacha (I think that's the first time)

We got petals before for New Years card flip event. But yes, this is a pleasant surprise.

Also, just wondering, around what level do the stats of a bloomed unit resemble that of its evolved form?
