Is that how it works? I thought that the bonus only applied to the atk stat. For example, my whaleship with one paritcular helper has:

hp: 685335
atk: 348064
def: 149043

for a total power of: 1,182,092

But does the whaleship get 50% more health by being of the right type? Does it get 50% more def by being of the right type? I thought being of the right type meant that the pests were weak to the attack so that you should think of the atk stat being boosted by 50%.

So rather than
1,182,092*1.5 = 1,773,138 total power
it would be
685335 + 1.5*348064 + 149043 = 1,356,474 total power.

In my experience in farming 6-5, while I never failed I'd assume my total power was close to the requested amount given some close calls. I'd not have expected a single close call had my effective total power really been 1,773,138.

No you've got a point there, it is only damage which puts my total at about, 1.275.000 - so scrapping it

Which makes sense now, but also makes me worry about the future when I can boast a full rainbow squads 1 - 4....I really need to focus on 2nd affection and evolution but I've got like 5k - 150k coins at a time right now - :-/

previously someone asked about appropriate jewelry for whaleships: favor atk over def since the atk stat is magnified by 50%. So the recent event earrings that have atk on them should be leveled and equipped with higher priority than the pure def earrings of previous events.

With all the ampys from this event and 2nd evolution stuff, my coins wallet is still recovering.
And whaleship missions are not generous on coins...

Yeah, and they took the 1.5 coin multiplier for a buck away. That's how I used to get caught up.
