I would honestly not suggest trying to farm them for now until you get your girls stronger. That said, pierce 4 will give more medals than slice 4 (216 vs 150). Pierce 5 gives 288 for the same amount of stam however, making that a lot more efficient.

Just mention farming because i can get an comfortable amount of pearl in the Swan boat event and have a little extra stamina
Otherwise i would be doing manyu and dragon stages
