My thoughts exactly. While Nutaku is primarily at fault for not bothering to communicate 1) Developer presence on Discord, 2) the fact we're getting DMM brides anyways/removed said brides from poll altogether (possibly, likely even, on purpose), 3) not bothering to explain the purpose of the event (likely people thinking the winners will be given out/high likelihood in gacha or some stupid crap like that), and 4) leaving it to the Discord developer chat to communicate almost ANYTHING about the GAME... a lot of players clearly don't bother to check Discord/online forums for more information and just take everything at face value, play for the scenes and don't give a damn if there's anything more to it than what is thrown in their face.
