Yes, I hope that the whales are kept very happy and we remoras can continue to be parasites off of their spending. It's actually worrying that there are only three of them with enough spending to get to that point...though perhaps that announcement will encourage some semi-whales to go full whale.

Do you know if you can have several players with the same in-game name? Because I have a friend with the same name that one of the 3 "whales", but he doesn't play a lot: level below 100 and sometimes long periods without login (once even more than a week). So that's rather strange IMO.

I was wondering the same thing, i was playing and went to the search for friend thing, and i saw another ikki and i was like wtf, it seems you can have duplicates

I'm not 100% sure if this is how you do it, but I think this is how someone described it:

Click the thing at the top to bring down the menu and click (I opened it in a new tab) My Profile.



Click Edit Profile.



Change username and click Save Changes.



After that you probably need to refresh any game windows you have open, and you might even have to log into the game again. Account names and usernames might be treated different. Again, I have not tried this.

Your account will just be identified by it's ID and in-game/forums you can have the same name. It's the same in Discord, when you inspect someone you see their 4 Digit Code which identify's them.
Or in short: Your name is what other people see and your ID is what is indentifies you in the systems Database.
