Only thing I'd do with them is Rainbow skillblooms, only maybe Gold if you don't have rainbows/have their skills maxed somehow lol. The rest of the stuff is gained in regular play too often to waste such a rare resource on.

Exactly. If you wanna "prepare for the future" go with the Rainbow skillbloom.
If you dont care for that, get the Gold ones and up your favorite girls.
The store items have a set timer when they will refresh (though there is no year so it can be this one, or a decade from now on), and since they are limited in stock its good to get them while you can.
Personally - If I had spare crystal laying around I would get those gold blooms and used them for my LiliToad, Chocolate Cosmos or Camelia. Alas the one who got the upgrade is Alpinia and thus I am back at the starting line Though with this event as is, I guess another 50-100 before the event ends is not impossible.
