I agree, this game is not so demanding that you need to min/max every single thing. Basically you should do what you enjoy, I think thats exactly why they made the difficulty of most maps rather low, so you can play the way you want to.

I'm still using level 60, 40/40/40 ampy Strawberry, so it's up to you.
