I actually liked the general concept of this event. For me the only bad thing was that it took waaaay too much grinding to get ur stuff and because of that the whole event simply sucked (at least for me).
If they would change it so that it takes less coins or that there are less bad picks in the gacha machine then i guess i could enjoy such an event every once in a while.

Am I the only one who thinks this event isn't really bad?

The concept of the event isn't bad. There is just to much junk filler in the gacha boxes for it to be really enjoyable and not just a tedious grind.
I am a bit salty, since this is the first even that I havn't gotten the max girl since launch :P Just started box 7 and I know my luck on this event is shit enough that I can't pull the last skillbloom :P I am gratefull for the lifecrystal thing, but I prefer just completing the events properly.
Event would be good fun if they either added a few more unique items to the gacha and a bit less junk filler or reduced the ammount of coins needed for the later draws.

Exactly. The Cost per pull is to big, and there is to much junk in the gacha. These two factors combined turned this event of which concept I also liked, as stated previously - into horrible, boring and unfullfilling grind fest.
FU Asian Grind loving bastards... (Nothing against Asians, I do like em as people, however their obsession with grinding is out of the norm at which I tend to operate T__T).
Were the prices lower/Not increasing per each Reset, even with all the junk in the box it would be much more enjoyable.
Game isn't down eventhough it's updating time. Stages are no longer accessible though.
The event didn't turn out that bad for me, personally. Got stuck in only 2 out of 7 rounds (5th and 7th) and was done by Friday. As what Drynix remarked, it could still be improved though.

I think it was pretty okay.
The first few boxes might've contained mostly crap, but those were pretty cheap to run as well.
Boxes 6 and 7 were expensive, but also contained very good fillers.
Boxes 4 and 5 could perhaps use some tweaking, as getting stuck on these two boxes is a turning point, whether the player is guaranteed to clear everything in time, or starts risking to not complete the gacha due to unlucky rolls, while the fillers are a bit "meh", making these boxes a bit frustrating.
Other options would be reducing the cost to play the gacha by about 5-10% (yes, "just" about 5-10%) or increasing the event drop by about 5% (the results wouldn't be exactly the same, but the difference is pretty marginal).
The event is a "grind" event. But then, *every* event except maybe the medal type is a grind event. But, what were you going to do anyway after you finished an event? Oh, right, GRIND 12-1/12-3/12-5 again... Seriously, stop complaining about grinding events, the whole game is about grinding, if you don't want to grind any maps over and over, you're playing the wrong game.
Well but there is a slight, yet humongous difference between time restricted grind, and free form grind.
I strongly dislike timed events in games (like - You have 5 minutes, drive this guy from one side of the map to the other). In this case its "collect massive amount of crap in 2 weeks".
I would not mind the grind if the restrictions of event completition would be set lower thus alleviating part of the stress and frustration that goes along with completing it. I play this to enjoy a relaxing time watching cute anime girls smash some bugs, not to cry blood and sweat, hoping I make in time for the deadline. I have plenty of that crap at work. *shrugs shoulders*
The last line here is the key to making the event better. 50 items is a lot to burn through (since there will be players who burn through most/all of those before getting the bloom item), so any of these suggestions would have made it a lot easier on people. Either make the grind more rewarding (1st option) or make there less grind to it (2nd and 3rd options) and I think a fair number of people would actually like the event type.
Personally, I'd cut out the coins (in the gacha box) and the 3*s (since we get a ton of those in our seed gacha draws anyways). Gifts are decent, and the manyus (and later bloom dragons) are worthwhile. Also drop the original coin requirement per pull so it'd look like this:
50 -> 100 -> 150 -> 200 -> 250 -> 300 -> 350
Believe this winds up being like half the grind or so. Due to the reissue events running alongside the main one, as well as regular grinding, we need less grinding required in our main events.
