I tried that when I heard about mentioned in another thread. It doesn't work for me at all.

You gotta repeatedly equip and unequip, like literally, take off the equip, not just take it off and put it back on in the same transition. You need to set it as no equip which'll take you back to the unit list then select them again then equip the equip on. Repeat. I generally do it 5+ times then check, maybe 10+ times if I have 3 raid points.
