Well...this is a new thing as well as the Whaleship Solar Beam attack being amplified by the number of FKs that are still alive:

*and explain on how this mechanic works, in case some people are unsure.

This does not amplify the Solar Blast you manually activate. This is a special - and additional attac your Whaleship performs - it looks like over charged SB, but its extra.
So you still get your two WS attacks, your charged SB and this special Rainbow Beam, which occours whenever the Boss meter at the botom is filled up (when you hit the boss the meter fills up slightly).
The units picked for this combo attack are random, and as such its highly advised to have only max lvl girls in your WS team (super whales bunch of * of every type have the massive advantage here of course), and during this 1 round every girls is guaranteed to use her Ult. / Active / Special skill - whatever you prefer to call it.

In DMM just this month few more additions have been done to the Whaleship (chance for extra defense shield or extra mini laser beam insead of normal attack), but that being a new thing, its not to come for some time still.

There's also a new piece of jewelry in the Whaleshop: Venerable Red Earrings at 15,000 Sun Medals. The cost of the Venerable Red Necklace increased from 14,000 Sun Medals to 20,000 Sun Medals.

I guess I'm glad I farmed my but off to get those necklaces instead of wasting Sun Medals on manyus and whatnot.
