So is it just me or are the whaleship missions themselves a little underwhelming? I mean it's neat seeing the ship animations, and I get that the pests are higher level and therefore you need to have stronger girls to get through it. But as a single path it removes pretty much the only strategic element of the game, placing units at start camps appropriately for speed and strength when applicable.

So far it really feels like a 'gear check' type boss from WoW

No strategy just smash down, but if you don't have good enough gear you won't beat it

TBH the thing that annoys me is the 7k grind

My 1st team was able to clear all the small pests along the way, but my ship HP was quite low at the end of that last fight.... if they had one more mission I think i'd fail it, and that was with a slice ship. Considering this is only the first whale ship mission and thus the easiest i'd say we're in for a tough ride.

It's not like my TP is low either, I was at 880k for my teams, tho that might have made it harder since it did say somewhere that the higher your TP the harder the missions or something. Can't remember where I saw that tho.

From what I gathered, it's the small pests that scale with the total power of your ship, while the boss that you actually battle with your ship doesn't scale with its TP, but it does have its own "suggested TP". The boss in whale mission 1_5 for example, has a suggested TP of 11,000,000, but that number doesn't include your whaleship being crewed against its weakness. So your 880k crew performed like a 1.3M crew because you crewed it for slice.

Zandel, did you have Holly or Lavender or another with the 3x healing springs bonus on your ship?
