anyone know how they calculate assist teams? I never find one past 101k it seems... i know they don't factor in affection at least

No affection, equipment, or Ampy. Pretty much max you will see atm is around 108k.

I still use some 5* Knights (Toad Lily, Lantana, Evening Primrose, Yukata Dogwood, Laurentia, Gardenia) in my main set of squads partly because I like their designs and mostly because I wipe out the vast majority of pest battles in 1-2 rounds anyhow so sticking solely to my strongest Knights isn't necessary.

I mean they could at least provided some better items. The rainbow medals which were gotten last time, which I think is one of the better items, was still not worth the price imo.

Unless ALL the outcomes from the loot crate are worth the purchase and I'd be happy with all of them then I wont buy

Most of these would be Salty McSaltness to me, so not buying

People on Discord are actually trying to defend the loot crates... I'd say that I should leave the server, but Discord is basically the only way to get your opinion heard by the devs (even if it's generally ignored).

I also just realized that the loot crates are worse than I remembered. I thought coins were the worst thing you could get, but then I saw that the dragons in the dragon pack were only lvl 20s. I know lvl 100 dragons aren't uncommon in events, but they are much more difficult to farm when you need them. For example, I'm in the situation where I had a bunch 5* slice girls to evolve, and after all my event/whale shop dragons were used, I still have 12 slice girls left to evolve.

Loot crates, from the consumer point of view, are a terrible idea. From the dev/publisher PoV though, they're a gold mine; as such it's not surprising that Discord has gradually been taking the shape of an echo chamber.

I have no desire to purchase any loot crates, but I'm not going to fault the devs for putting them in for those who want them.

I thought so too, but considering when I add together all my girls stats in my helper without Ampies or affection, and I get ~108k... and they are all max ampied, I have my doubts ampies are included... because I would expect to see helpers of ~130k.
