Does it actually increase the drop rate like it does with the abilities on certain units, or does it look at the drop chance and say "By the power of Aigis be doubled!"

It increases the original drop rate. Orbs will be 60% instead of 30% and daily drops will be increased appropriately.

So does this mean the summon rate for silvers and blacks is down and the gold + plat drop summon rate is up?

it just means spotlighted females probably.

I guess all it really means is don't expect to get any gold / plat male units.

I throwed crystals on 30 summons today, had 17 silvers, 7 golds, 4 plats and 2 blacks (in a row, hail rng), so plat-gold amount is pretty normal (for me).
Had one male gold.

How foolish by me to think we might get an event after 1 week on top of the 1 week standard delay....

well atleast not nothing might the optimist say^^

prevents me from spending money so far atleast.....

one day maybe...... one day we might get treated equally... don't stop dreaming guys!

What black n plats did you get?

sophie and berna :P It's my second copy of sophie so i use her as fodder (26.4k exp with spirits - it will sweeten the fact that i didn't get ranged black). Plats - Lilia (my second copy), thetis (also), cypria and garania (and that's cool). I'm happy that i had 3 golds i hoped for - cuterie, monica, and zola.
