On the one hand, I'm okay with saving my consumables for the last day. On the other hand, it makes the last day much more stressful for a lot of people because they have to worry about losing their rank at the end. If you are a player that has been riding the rank 900-1050 bubble for the first 13 days of an event, it means that you HAVE to defend your rank on the 14th day. It's not even so much that you get to use a bunch of burgers like before and skip up to the 800s or 750s. Either you defend or you get knocked down a tier.

Me? I'm pretty comfortably in the mid to low 200s. I'm definitely getting the rank 1000 card, but I remember my second EG event, I was on the bubble until the very end. At the time, I was a relatively low level player and I had not yet joined HBC, so I didn't have easy access to good advice or more importantly, a truckload of whales to hunt SEGs for me. The last couple days, I watched my 900 rank drop to around 1000 and then on the last day, I fell to 1250 or so. I simply could not keep up.

These new 'raw' items keep each day of the event pretty balanced. They will, however, screw me over when I try to help the lower leveled players in my friends list. I routinely take out low-ish level SEGs for players that need help. My event SED is currently 2.4M and will be around 3 million by the time phase 2 rolls around (the 1.2 multiplier from the N card will be nice, plus I'll burn wild cards here and there to bump my base SED).

When I had burgers, I could leave all my burgers in my inventory and then burn a few when a friend needed help with that level 15 SEG. After all, I get a nice EP boost and they get a free elimination. It's a nice trade, especially since really low level players may not be able to take down a single SEG on their own, let alone have the connections that we have to simply poke 400-500 SEGs over the week, racking up massive (at least by my standards) elimination counts.

Now if I want to help someone, I have to either use 'real' puddings or go to my home page, go the the reward section and accept a few of the puddings I have stashed there. This process isn't hard, but it's somewhat labor intensive. It could easily take 1-2 minutes to get everything accepted and get back to the SEG. Depending on when it was shared, a couple minutes can mean the difference between seducing it and letting her get away.

It needlessly complicates things all in an effort to make people want to spend more cash to get 'real' items.

To be honest, I've got plenty of spare cash. If I wanted to drop a few bucks to buy some Nutaku gold, I could certainly afford it, but I absolutely REFUSE to spend a dime on gold because of the way Nutaku treats its players. I have never felt that Nutaku tries to make anyone (cash or free) feel like we are valued.

If Nutaku changes some of their mechanics that screw players over (like the timing of the medal campaign, 48 hours after the start of a second phase of an event when people would have just spent money buying e-gacha tickets) or forcing people to juggle raw puddings to use them effectively, then I will continue to play, but I will refuse to pay on principle.
I'd say you should say that to Nutaku staff on Discord or somewhere else. I have no money to spend on browser games (i'm barely making my living actually) but i feel pretty much the same as you are, and i certainly wouldn't donate my cash to Nutaku to buy Gold until they treat us, players, like that. I really appreciate that thay've finally kinda balanced the Gambit for free players like me, by giving out an SR SEC as a previous event 1000 Ranking reward (which for me is an easy-peasy get) but i still hate hopw they manage other stuff, like adding these stupid Raw consumables, which make me either stop accepting gifts and, thus, cunstantly raising my SED with Wildcards i get for eliminations, or speng helluva time and nerves to accept rewards manually, one by one (and scrolling the list all teh time with that thin scrollbar is a real pain in the ass for me), the way they manage EP rewards (in this EG i've unlocked 3mil EP reward at day two, while most of my friends got it at day one and got bored and nothing much to to in this event, while in Gambit i can barely get 51k EP at the day 14, and that is ONLY because of the free SR SEC and the fact i was saving EGacha tickets since the previous Gambit and got a few R SECs from it - while 3 mil EP get is just FUCKING UNREACHABLE there, i bet, for almost all players except those like EvilAngel, i guess - and i guess even EA would hardly wish to invest so much in the game to get a Revgacha ticket as an EP achievenemt reward during Gambit). And those stupid Daily Missions, which are so hard to complete without using Peronamins (and especially that crazy "get 3 SR cards" flirting mission which is really stupid, considering how much effort it requires you to put into completing it, comparing to it's not so really valueable reward of 1 Ex Wild Card) or that Shard event, which also is a pain for a free player to get enough Shards to buy all 3 limited girl cards in time, not speaking os some extra shards to trade for Card Reveals or Ex Wild Cards, or those crazy Rgacha limited mini-events, like last Valentine's day event, when you have to waste a shitton of those really hard-to-get Card Reveals and R-gacha tickets, and still have very small chances to get the limited cards... Welp, this list can be continued, but there's not much point in it. We all know all that, and they sjust don't care. So yeah, i'll continue to play PPS too (for some time at least) but the fact that they screw us up like this is totally not going to make me want to spend money on the game even if i'll have some spare cash, and I have no idea on why they think it will.
