Like Arekusu said, eventually you can get by pretty easily without paying a dime. You get one e-gacha ticket per event. You get one e-gacha ticket every 30 days. There may be some events that give two. Maybe I'm remembering things wrong, but I think EG gives an e-gacha ticket for logging in and one for a reward, either SEG hunting or EP. I could also be remembering it wrong.

Anyway, you will find that some events require SECs to get into the top 1000, some do not. I've been playing for several months and have a pretty high base SED. I do not need SECs to get into the top 1000 for EG. Not even a little. I can just grind my way into the top 700-400 pretty easily. Sure, I could use an e-gacha ticket and maybe boost my event SED a little higher, but while I might take down a few extra SEGs on my own, I get very little benefit since I can easily coast into the top 1000 and SEG hunting can be done by poking.

Gambit is a different story. For one, you're low level, so your stamina is low. That hurts. For two, if you want to get the 51k trinket prize, you're going to need some stamina and most importantly, you're going to need some SECs. Fortunately, I ranked in the top 1000 from the last one, so I get a 'free' multiplier of 1.5. I can use normal gacha to get the N girl, for an extra 1.2. I can get another 1.2 multiplier in phase two. I also had an R slayer from the last event that carries over, so my total multiplier is 2.34. That's not much, but it cuts down the need for trinkets from 51k to 21.8k. That's still a lot.
I'm currently sitting at a little over 7300 trinkets, and let's assume I will get to 10,000 trinkets by phase 2. That means in phase 2, I will need 41k. I will get another 1.2 multiplier from the new N-girl, boosting me to 2.81. That means I'll need 14.6k trinkets, which is a stretch, but manageable. I've got a couple e-gacha tickets in the tank, so I'll use one, MAYBE two if I don't get a slayer on the first draw. Phase 2 slayers have a higher multiplier effect than phase 1, so I could have an effective multiplier of 4.22 to 7.025 depending on whether I get an alpha or a beta slayer and R vs SR. Assuming I get a Beta R slayer, I'm looking at 4.22 means 9.7K trinkets required to hit 51k. Divide that by 7, and I need a little over 1000 per day. That's not that hard, especially if you have radars or glasses saved up.

Gambit is VERY lopsided. I'll make 10k in week 1 and probably 45-50k in week 2. Those extra SEC cards coupled with the fact that I haven't used glasses or radars yet means that the first week is pretty pointless. All do all the 'work' in phase 2.

That leaves the last event. As of lately, the last event has been Shards, but it used to be Pero Coloseum. PeroColo can be easily won without using a single SEC. They do pretty much nothing unless you assemble a team of them and go for Rank 1 battles. You can EASILY clear all the boxes with a decent team that has no SEC cards.

But Nutaku has replaced PeroColo with Shards. Shards is REALLY DAMN SHORT. This is great because you don't have to grind an event for two fucking weeks, but it makes it almost impossible to collect enough shards to get all of the girls without SECs. So you have to hope you get an SEC from the previous event for ranking in the top 1000, you need the N girl, AND you probably need one extra SEC, maybe 2 depending to amass enough shards to get everything.

I rank top 1000 every time now, but that wasn't always the case. It took me a few events to get built up. If you stick it out, you will also get to the top 1000. The game rewards you for constant playing. If you keep up with it, it's actually really easy to stay on top. If you miss an event, you miss out on a ranking reward, which might cost you in the next event. You either slowly spiral up towards the top, or you spiral down towards the bottom.

Just accept that your first 2-4 months are going to mean you are going to get curb stomped in events. The tide eventually turns. You just have to stick it out.

Thanks for the input especially the above, that took a while to type and I appreciate the effort

I'll stick it out a while and see if it improves....just think they maybe need to look at being a little new friendlier maybe

Active friends is the key to a lot of the events. Friends will open your boxes in Gambit, and you will need friends TO open boxes. Admittedly, having lots of REALLY active friends will limit your access to pink boxes, but they have mostly crap anyways. You're MUCH better off knowing that a decent percentage of silver and gold boxes will get opened.

    Shards/PeroColo has no friend component.

EG absolutely REQUIRES friends. 300 SEGs is a bitch to do on your own. Short of being a beast, it ain't happening. What you CAN do is poke 300 SEGs, but you need friends to find them and share them.

Start adding people from here. Life is much better with friends.
