If there is it's not affecting other people. It's possible 5 or 6 people simply decided they're quitting and removed you so you don't have to do it yourself when you find out they're inactive.

As you can see here, I managed to find an inactive who had people even more inactive on their friends list. Over a year inactive and they still exist
